Culture 2026 | Competitiveness, innovation and digitisation
7 and 8 October, Real Collegio di Lucca
Culture is the driver of our accelerated transition into the future. Mission number one of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) aims to give a decisive boost to the Country’s competitiveness and productivity. To do so, it places the valorisation of the cultural asset at the forefront, along with digitalisation and tourism.
Therefore, it is time for both Public Administration and companies to adopt a strategic approach in planning interventions for a real cultural transition towards innovative socio-economic and technical-productive systems with respect to vision, processes and products.
LuBeC 2021 aims to draw the attention on the challenges, the tools and a few pilot actions, which find their implementation support in the integration between PNRR policies and national actions aiming at: digitalization and sustainability; training and competitiveness; cultural welfare and internationalization; inclusion and new housing dimensions.
The Plenary – 7 October
The main theme of the opening conference of LuBeC 2021 will be Recovery Plan, digital transition and new humanism. It will be declined through the challenges that the national system must face today and that consider culture as a key element to generate innovation, competitiveness and growth. Several territorial operators, including public administrations, foundations, third sector organisations, training institutes, cultural and creative businesses and new professionals will attend this first plenary session and contribute to the implementation of the Country’s great Recovery and Resilience Plan with proposals and concrete guidelines.
As in every edition, there will also be a moment dedicated to the delivery of the LuBeC Award to the personality that has distinguished themselves for the promotion of cultural heritage this year, and the award ceremony for the winners of the Art Bonus 2020 Competition. At the same time, the countdown for the launch of the next edition of the contest will start.
The whole programme is in progress and will soon be online
First international summit on immersivity
Immersive art is both an instrument to amplify and shape the impact of the cultural message conveyed by tangible and intangible heritage, and a real artistic expression – with its own language, its own aesthetics and a group of great performers.
The first international summit on immersive art will be held at LuBeC. It will be structured on three appointments between Thursday 7 and Friday 8 October, and will also include an on-site exhibition. Immersiva is an experiential and educational journey that you can experience directly in Lucca.
The initiative will take place thanks to the collaboration between PROMO PA, Immersiva srl – Simurg, and Brigth Fesival.
